Maryland stood on a hill surrounded by fields and fields of pine trees against a purple hued sky.
The sky was purple because the sun had just set, and that was why Maryland was on this hill with a lantern in her hand.
A lantern that lit the hill in yellow and attracted little insects to fly around it.
Maryland inhaled deeply, smelling the pine and the grass and the wet sky. A smile came to her face.
She loved this hill, where she could take in all the scents of the world and look at the beautiful vista that was her pine surroundings.
It didn’t matter if it was day or night, rain or shine, she would be up here on this incline to gaze at everything around her, everything she loved.
